Abstract

[spa] El nuevo indice de precios al consumo . Con la aplicaciôn del nuevo îndice en febrero de 1 993, el Insee ha estrenado la sexta generaciôn de IPC. Los cambios del arïo base (1990 sucede a 1980) y de poblaciôn de referenda (el îndice pasa a ser "todos hogares" y ya no se limita a "los hogares urbanos cuyo jefe es obrero o empleado") figuran entre las caracteristicas mâs relevantes del nuevo fndice. . Pero este difiere también de los anteriores por una mejor mediciôn de los movimientos de precios al mes (productos frescos, rebajas del sector moda, alquiler), y por una ampliaciôn del âmbito de los servicios (transporte aéreo, etc.)- En fin, el nuevo îndice se va acercando a sus homôlogos europeos, con lo cual se cumple un objetivo tanto mâs importante cuanto que la tasa de inflaciôn es uno de los criterios de convergencia adoptados por el tratado de Maastricht. [ger] Der neue Verbraucherpreis index . Mit dem im Februar 1 993 in Kraft getretenen Index hat das Insee die sechste Verbraucherpreisindex-Generation eingefùhrt. Die auffâlligsten Besonderheiten des neuen Index sind die Verànderungen hinsichtlich des Basis- jahres (1990 folgt auf 1980) und der Bezugspopulation (der Index bezieht sich nunmehr auf "aile Haushalte" und nicht mehr nur auf die "stâdtischen Haushalte, deren Vorstand Arbeiter oder Angestellter ist"). . Von seinen Vorgàngern unterscheidet sich der neue Index jedoch auch durch eine bessere Erfassung der monatli- chen Preisentwicklung (Frischprodukte, SchluBverkâufe bei Bekleidung, Mieten) sowie durch eine Erweiterung im Bereich der Dienstleistungen (Luftverkehr usw.). AuBer- dem entspricht er in stârkerem MaBe den Indexzahlen der anderen europâischen Lander, was urn so wichtiger ist, als die Inflationsrate eines der Konvergenzkriterien darstellt, die im Vertrag von Maastricht festgelegt worden sind. [eng] The New Consumer Price Index . The consumer price index launched in February 1 993 is the sixth generation to be introduced by Insee. The most obvious features of the new index are the changes in the base year (1990 replaces 1980) and the reference population (the index now covers "all households" rather than just "urban households whose head is a manual or non-manual employee". . However, this index is also distinct from its predecessors in its better tracking of monthly price trends (fresh products, sales of clothing and rents) and a broadening of the service sector (air transport, etc.). Lastly, the new index has been brought more into line with its European counterparts; an aim that is all the more important since the rate of inflation is one of the convergence criteria laid down in the Maastricht Treaty. [fre] Le nouvel indice des prix à la consommation . Avec l'indice mis en place en février 1993, l'Insee a inauguré la sixième génération d'indice des prix à la consommation. Les changements d'année de base (1990 succède à 1980) et de population de référence (l'indice devient « tous ménages » et ne se limite plus aux « ménages urbains dont le chef est ouvrier ou employé ») sont parmi les caractéristiques les plus visibles du nouvel indice. . Mais celui-ci se distingue aussi de ses prédécesseurs par un meilleur suivi des mouvements des prix au mois le mois (produits frais, soldes de l'habillement, loyers) et un élargissement dans le domaine des services (transport aérien, etc.). Enfin le nouvel indice se rapproche de ses homologues européens, objectif d'autant plus important que le taux d'inflation est un des critères de convergence retenus dans le traité de Maastricht.
