[fre] Les échanges extérieurs de la France la placent dans la situation d'un pays intermédiaire. Elle est fortement dépendante des économies dominantes que sont l'Allemagne fédérale, les États-Unis et le Japon. Le déficit vis-à-vis du premier de ces pays, bien que fort, diminue, tandis que celui vis-à-vis de l'Espagne (surtout dans les biens intermédiaires) et de l'Italie (surtout dans les biens de consommation) augmente. En même temps, la France réalise de 1973 à 1980 d'amples transferts technologiques vers les pays en voie de développement dans le cadre des grands contrats d'équipement. [eng] The Penetration of the Domestic Market and the Effort to Export : A Geographical Approach - France's foreign trade places it in the situation of an intermediary country, It is highly dependent on the dominant economies of Federal Germany, the United States, and Japan. Its deficit with the first of these countries, although sizeable, is decreasing, while its deficit with Spain (above all in the area of Intermediate goods) and Italy («specially in the area of consumer goods) is on the increase. At the same time, France, between 1973 and 1980, made large transfers of technology to developing countries through major equipment contracts.
