Studiul evolutiei cererii de transport in zona adiacenta intersectiei Iuliu Maniu-Virtutii, comparativ cu intersectia Iuliu Maniu – B-dul Geniului (Leu)

Abstract

Consideram ca cercetarile realizate prin mijloace proprii au o contributie importanta la influentarea nivelului de trafic in zona de interes studiata si, prin extensie, in toate zonele de interes similare din oras. Aceste consecinte bazate pe ipoteze pot constitui fundamentul unor politici publice si al unor decizii administrative care, daca sunt aplicate corect si consecvent, pot tine sub control cererea de transport in zonele critice ale orasului si pot ajuta la dimensionarea corecta a capacitatilor de transport.1 Masuratorile au fost efectuate in zona Lujerului si strazile adiacente. Atat rezultatele cercetarii, cat si situatia actuala a traficului in aria studiata confirma aceasta opinie. In ultimii 12 ani au fost demolate peste 27.000 de puncte de comert de proximitate (fostele chioscuri), care au fost inlocuite de doar cateva hipermarketuri. Alte aproximativ 11.500 de magazine mici si-au schimbat profilul datorita concurentei hipermarketurilor in centrul orasului. Toate aceste decizii au avut o influenta foarte importanta in cresterea nivelului de trafic in zona centrala si mediana a orasului.
