Issues regarding forecasting a crisis in Romania

Abstract

The paper approaches a piece of a larger effort to create a modell for predicting the economic crises in Romania. As method we study the premises that should be considered when such a forecastig is done. Apparently based upun GDP data endogenous recessions cannot be identified and separated from exogenous shocks.
