Comparative Analysis and the Place of Romania on Insurance Global Market

Abstract

The paper is centered on some aspects regarding a comparative analysis of the global insurance market taking into account few specific indicators such as: gross written premiums, insurance density and insurance penetration degree. We analyzed the world insurance market per principal regions, before the beginning of the financial crisis and up to the present, showing the place of the Romanian insurance market related to the global market.
