Abstract

The present paper aims at examining the main characteristics of Arthur Schopenhauer’s style of writing philosophy. A. Schopenhauer was the first in the history of German philosophy who wrote philosophical texts that people actually enjoyed reading. Therefore, his style and language became our point of interest, since they are responsible for the easiness of text reading and the accessibility of the reader to the depths of the author’s thought. After a short biographical part, the paper briefly discusses the issues raised by the language of philosophy, and examines – in its main part – the features of Schopenhauer’s style.
