Characteristics of Nuclear Risk Insurances

Abstract

In prezent, the European nuclear private insurance sector is structured in pools because none of the existing insurance companies are able to provide the required capacity on an individual basis or under conventional arrangements. Every pool is organised by the principle of streamlining nuclear insurance pools, along national lines. This article analyses some aspects of nuclear insurance pools and it examines how is insured the Cernavodã nuclear power plant, in Romania.
