The Impact of the Treaty of Lisbon on the Most Important EU InstitutionsAbstract:The Treaty of Lisbon is the result of a long process by which it was primarily aimed to reform the legal framework of the Union. This reform had an equally significant impact on the representative institutions of the European Union. Accordingly, through this article, we try to transpose the major consequences on the organization and functioning of the EU representative institutions. The first part gives some general considerations with reference to the Treaty of Lisbon. The second part reveals the impact of the provisions of the Treaty of Lisbon on the EU representative institutions in terms of their organization and functioning
