The Impact of the European Employment Strategy on Romanian Employment Policy

Abstract

The paper examines the mechanisms through wich the European Employment Strategy influenced the romanian employment policy. The influences may take the forms of: peer pressure, strategic use of EES and the europenisation mechanism.The impact of EES is present in the content of employment policy due to the compliance with the accession criteria and integration requirements. In the process of policy shaping the impact of EES is low.
