Abstract

This paper evaluates Polish innovation policy and its effects on innovation activity in the country in the period of transition. After an in-depth survey of all relevant Government documents in the field of science and technology, there is an analysis of the country's innovation performance in the period 1989–2000. Technological innovation appeared to be highly sensitive to the general situation in the national economy. However, it is difficult to find clear correlations between innovation activity and innovation policy. Copyright , Beech Tree Publishing.
