Perspectives for the Development of the National Transport System

Abstract

The proposed work is dedicated to important problems of the National Transport System development. The decision of these problems is necessary for the successful transport euro integration. According to that, the ways for reconstruction of the national transport are observed in the means of different kind of transport – railway, automobile, sea, river and air transport. In accordance to the tendencies of the European transport development, step by step the possibilities for the development of the national transport infrastructure are explained in the frame of construction of the European transport corridors in the Bulgarian territory. A lot of research work is done to show the importance of the implementation of the new transport technologies as important factors for improving the competitive power of the Bulgarian transport companies. In conclusion, the main parameters for the development of the National Transport System are determined in the aim of its accordance to the European Transport Quality Standards.
