Abstract

National security is most frequently associated with classic anti-state crimes. However, in addition to such crimes, modern democratic states also face a number of other risks such as corruption, money laundering and organized crime. To this end, the study’s primary goal is to analyze the criminal law nature of these three crimes as one of the main risks to national security today. The paper consecutively examines criminal security as a subject of criminal law protection, the negative influence of criminal acts on national security, analyzes their criminal law characteristics and finally proposes certain measures to combat them.
