Necessity of Use and Cognition Sense of Moments of Higher Rank (Asymmetry and Excess Coefficients)

Abstract

The article explains the necessity to use moments of higher rank – third and fourth. The cognitive sense of parameters of the statistical distribution, constructed on their basis – coefficients of asymmetry and excess, as well as those which are based on the positional means is discussed.
