Abstract

O artigo trabalha a complexa realidade da gestão de territórios em áreas mineradas, considerando os diferentes atores que atuam na produção do espaço. O urbano será tratado como estruturador desse espaço e base de integração territorial. Será utilizado como estudo de caso o conflito no município de Conselheiro Lafaiete-MG, entre a empresa Vale, detentora do direito de lavra da Mina Morro da Mina, a Escola Meridional e os impactos resultantes desse conflito no meio urbano.
