Abstract

This paper is trying to put the concept of emotional intelligence in an interdisciplinary context and find similarities between the concept and elements from other theories and models. We decided to list a few basic components of emotional intelligence,, to mention practical research of the emotional skills application in organizations, and also to establish areas of correlation between emotional intelligence and such theories as the Multiple Intelligence Theory, Maslow's Theory, Transactional Analysis, The Johari Window Model etc
