Abstract

The contribution is discussing the social change of the cooperative-mutual self-help support sector from the perspective of a social geometry of oppenness and closedness, exploring the significant loss of cooperative culture on the microlevel of mutual self-help group development and the emergence of self-help organizations on the macrolevel of the political system of politics and policy-making connected with some limited perspectives of commoning because of counseling and supply of information as public good by digital transformation for private individual users. Between the divergent developments we can observe a new phenomenon: the emergence of caring neigbourhoods on the mesolevel of analysis.
