Desigualdades en tiempos de pandemia. El caso de las personas migrantes en el norte de la Patagonia

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene por objetivo visibilizar los efectos que las medidas de aislamiento en el contexto de pandemia por COVID-19, tuvieron sobre la población migrante. En el escrito se retoma información proporcionada por referentes de diferentes colectividades latinoamericanas y datos relevados en dos encuestas realizadas a nivel nacional. Particularmente, se analizarán tendencias centradas en el norte de la Patagonia, que advierten la estructural precarización de las condiciones de trabajo de las personas migrantes y la limitada posibilidad de generar ingresos durante los primeros meses de la pandemia. Asimismo, se destacan las herramientas para recabar información cuantitativa, las cuales fueron generadas como estrategias de investigación que, actualizadas y aggiornadas a la actual coyuntura, contribuyan al diseño de información y coadyuven a políticas integrales para este grupo de personas.
