Abstract

In the economy of Bulgaria since 1989 a number of transformations has been undertaken which evoke a range of economic reforms. The change in the organization of the economic processes, the opening of the country to the World and the opportunity for access to the international markets, all these became a reason for structural changes in both production and foreign trade. The foreign trade has become an important gear for achieving of internal and external equilibrium of the national economy. In the modern conditions of integration and globalization, through the foreign trade an increase in the degree of openness of the economy is being achieved. The objective of the present paper is to empirically research the structural changes in the export structure of goods of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 1992-2009.
