Abstract

Évocations et cassations furent à l’origine de nombreuses querelles entre le parlement de Paris et la couronne. Le parquet du Parlement joua un rôle essentiel dans ces luttes, notamment avec le procureur général Guillaume-François Joly de Fleury (1675-1756). Critique face à ces procédures, il mit en place des moyens pour limiter les évocations et les cassations, en faisant intervenir le Parlement, gardien des lois, ou le chancelier d’Aguesseau, chef de la justice.
