Abstract

Recent studies of n-type semiconductors have demonstrated spin-coherent transport over macroscopic distances1, with spin-coherence times exceeding 100 ns2,3; such materials are therefore potentially useful building blocks for spin-polarized electronics (‘spintronics’).
