Disminución del Turismo en Playa Azul, Michoacán: Perspectiva desde los actores locales

Abstract

El turismo en Playa Azul en Michoacán cada año es más escaso, por lo que la permanencia de varios negocios en esta región es endeble. Esto genera como consecuencia una disminución en la economía y en la generación de empleos de la región. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la dinámica del turismo en Playa Azul, así como los efectos generados por la disminución de esta actividad los últimos dos años (2015- 2016), desde la perspectiva de los actores locales. Para ello se realizó una investigación mixta, consistente en una revisión documental e investigación de campo entre los meses de octubre y diciembre de 2016. Se aplicaron 150 encuestas a turistas locales y foráneos y 32 entrevistas a actores locales involucrados en el turismo. Los resultados de esta investigación apuntan hacia el establecimiento de políticas públicas a través de programas de apoyo para el mejoramiento de la infraestructura para reactivar actividades turísticas y de ecoturismo, así como crear, promover y difundir nuevas actividades atractivas para los turistas.
