Reflexiones axiológicas sobre el ejercicio profesional de la contaduría pública Patterns in Neighboring Areas: Colombia

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es presentar, desde un contexto general, las consideraciones axiológicas a la fe pública, en razón a la potestad que el Estado ha delegado en el contador público, atribución que le imprime seguridad y transparencia a los hechos económicos en materia de revelación de la información, con el fin de preservar el interés público. Este precepto de confianza que la sociedad ha depositado en el contador da, a quien ejerce la profesión, una responsabilidad especial frente a la colectividad en cuanto tiene que ver con la certeza y confiabilidad en las relaciones comerciales y la veracidad de la información que suministra a los particulares. Este nivel de confianza como entretejido de las relaciones sociales y económicas, es el nivel de soporte que previene la corrupción y las faltas a la verdad, causantes de descalabros financieros que han originado caídas de imperios, incertidumbre en las institucionalidades y desestabilización de la economía
