Göç, Ticaret ve Kalkınma: Meksika-ABD ve Türkiye-Avrupa Karşılaştırması

Abstract

Geçen yarım yüzyıldaki göç haraketi, Meksika-ABD ve Türkiye-Batı Avrupa arasındaki ilişkilerin ana gündem maddelerinin başında yer almıştır. Göç alan ve veren ülkelerdeki değişimler göç yerine ticareti geçirme/serbest bırakma eğilimi taşımıştır. Meksika ve Türkiye, süreç içinde inişli çıkışlı bir ekonomik gelişme göstermiş; bazen diğer OECD ülkelerinden hızlı büyümüş, bazen de daha hızlı küçülmüşlerdir. Meksika ve Türkiye çok temel değişimler yaşayan iki ülkedir. Ancak daha fazla güvenli istihdam yaratılmadıkça tarımdan kopan genç işgücü ya da işgücüne yeni katılanlar göçün yeni adayları olmaya devam edecektir.
