Mülteci Çocukların Eğitim Sorunları ve Çocuk Hemşireliği Yaklaşımları

Abstract

Dünya genelinde 80 milyondan fazla insanın çatışma, şiddet ve baskılar nedeniyle göç etmek zorunda kaldığı belirtilmiştir. Bunların 26 milyonu ise mülteci olarak yaşamlarını sürdürmeye çalışmaktadır. Göç olgusu ve sonrasında yaşanan süreçten belki de en çok etkilenen grup mültecinin yarısından fazlasını oluşturan 18 yaşın altındaki çocuklardır. Evlerinden uzakta belirsizliklerle mücadele eden milyonlarca mülteci, başta eğitim olmak üzere birçok haktan mahrum kalmaktadır. Bu durum yapılan çalışma sonuçlarına da yansımıştır. Mülteci çocukların ancak %68’inin ilkokula ve %34’ünün ortaokula devam ettiğinin belirtilmiş olması, yaşanan eşitsizliğin en net yansımasıdır. Bu konuda mülteci kızların dezavantajlı grubu oluşturduğu ve ortaöğretim düzeyinde eğitim alan kızların sayısının erkeklerin yarısı kadar olduğu belirtilmiştir. Mülteci çocukların eğitim alanında yaşadığı en temel sorunlar yurtlarından uzaklaşmaya bağlı olarak eğitimde sene kaybetmek, sınıflardaki dil engelleri, eğitim materyallerinin uygun olmaması, okuldaki öğretmenler ve diğer öğrenciler tarafından ayrımcılığa maruz kalınmak şeklinde sıralanabilir. Mülteci çocukların eğitime erişimini kolaylaştıran düzenlemelerin oluşturulmasının ve bu konuda yapılacak araştırma sayısının arttırılmasının faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
