Değinim Durumundaki Azınlık Dillerinin Sürdürümü

Abstract

Bir toplumun göç sonucu azınlık durumuna düşmesi veya bir kültürün diğer kültür üzerinde egemenlik kurması sonucu ortaya çıkan “asimetrik dil değinimi” durumunda kendini gösteren diller arası çatışma, genel kanıya göre, çoğunlukla azınlık dilinin yok olmasını doğurur. Oysa çok dilliliğin farklı biçimlerde düzenlendiği bazı ülkelerdeki örnekler, dengeli ilişkinin her zaman çatışmasızlığı; dengesiz ilişkinin de her zaman çatışmayı beraberinde getirmediğini göstermektedir. Değişik türdeki dil değinimi sahalarından oluşturulan örneklem üzerinde yapılan gözlem, “iki değişkeli” modelin azınlık dillerinin sürdürümü için elverişli bir ortam olabileceği varsayımını desteklemektedir.
