A Piece of Evidence Regarding the Full Rationality of Economic Agents

Abstract

This note reports a real case where individuals faced an apparently trivial choice, with no uncertainty involved. The data show that even in such a situation full rationality may fail to apply. Experimental replications along the lines of the present case might prove helpful for collecting data on rationality.
