A Cross Province Study on The Importance of Small-Scale Industries in Indonesia

Abstract

Dengan mempergunakan analisa regresi "cross-section" berdasarkan data dari beberapa propinsi di Indonesia, studi ini menganalisa bentuk relasi antara tingkat pendapatan riil per kapita dan kepadatan penduduk dengan jumlah saham tenaga kerja di industri skala kecil. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan adanya: (i) relasi negatif dan positif antara tingkat pendapatan dengan jumlah saham tenaga kerja di industri rumah tangga dan kerajinan rakyat dan di industri (faktori) kecil, herturut-turut; dan (ii) relasi positif antara tingkat kepadatan penduduk dengan jumlah tenaga kerja di kedua kategori industri skala kecil tersebut.
