Tinjauan Triwulan Perekonomian Indonesia

Abstract

Memasuki triwulan ketiga tahun 1991, perekonomian dunia menunjukkan gejala belum membaik dari resesi ringan yang dimulai pada akhir 1990 yang lalu. Perkiraan IMF dalam World Economic Outlook Mei 1991 menunjukkan angka-angka menurun untuk tahun 1991, antara lain laju pertumbuhan ekonomi dunia yang pada tahun 1989 sebesar 3,3 persen diperkirakan menurun menjadi 2,1 persen pada tahun 1990 dan 1,2 persen pada tahun 1991. Penurunan pertumbuhan ekonomi dunia ini disebabkan karena berlanjutnya resesi beberapa negara industri pada awal tahun ini dan penurunan output di negara-negara Timur Tengah, Eropa Timur dan Uni Soviet. Akan angka tersebut diperkirakan meningkat pada tahun 1992 menjadi 2,9 persen apabiia kebijaksanaan stabilisasi dan reformasi structural dapat berjaian dengan balk di beberapa negara berkembang.
