Fertilizer Response In Indonesian Agriculture Abstract : Sejak beberapa tahun yang lalu Indonesia telah mulai dengan kebijakan deregulasi. Salah satu tindakan yang dilaksanakan di sektor pertanian adalah penghapusan subsidi untuk pestisida/insektisida dan pengurangan subsidi untuk pupuk. Namun ternyata anggaran untuk subsidi pupuk masih cukup tinggi. Dalam makalah ini effisiensi subsidi pupuk ditinjau kembali untuk beberapa komoditas pangan di propinsi yang mempunyai produksi terbesar di Indonesia. Untuk analisa, digunakan dua sumber data yaitu data rangkai-masa dan data experimen lapangat (field trials). Hasil pokok yang diperoleh adalah: (I) penghapusan subsidi pupuk tidak akan mempengaruhi swasembada pangan dan (2) akan mendorong petani untuk menggunakan pupuk lebih effektip (tepat) serta (3) harga TSP dan KCl disarankan untuk naik lebih besar dari pada hargi Urea dan ZA karena bahan bakunya mempakan komoditas impor
