Abstract

Telaahan ini menggunakan pendekatan tak-iangsung untuk menduga elastisitas respons penawaran jangka-pendek dan jangka-panjang untuk beras di Jawa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa eiastisitas respons penawaran positif dan mirip dengan elastisitas respons untuk beberapa Negara berkembang lainnya. Selain itu diperoleh kenyataan bahwa variable harga tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap perluasan areal tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap hasil per-hektar. Untuk meningkatkan produksi beras di Jawa, kebijaksanaan hendaknya lebih ditekankan kepada peningkatan hasil per-hektar.
