Abstract

Dalam kwartal pertama tahun 1982, keadaan resesi ekonomi dunia masih tajam dan meluas. Hal ini ditandai oleh adanya pengurangan tingkat produksi pada berbagai industri di berbagai negara jauh di bawah kapasitas yang tersedia, sebagai Upaya untuk mengurangi pemupukan persediaan barangbarang yang semakin banyak dalam keadaan pasar yang lesu. Sebagai akibatnya, ekspor bahan baku dari negara-negara sedang berkembang juga mengalami hambatan. Sementara itu impornya sukar direm atau dikurangi. Dengan demikian banyak negara-negara sedang berkembang mengalami keadaan neraca perdagangan luar negeri yang defisit, seperti halnya Indonesia. Hampir seluruh komoditi ekspor non-minyak Negara kita mengalami penurunan.
