Income Elasticity of Demand for Rice in Indonesia

Abstract

Angka-angka yang menunjukkan elastisitas pendapatan atas permintaan akan berat sangat beraneka ragam di Indonesia. Boleh dikatakan bahwa angkaangka tersebut Bergerak di antara batas 0,25 sampai pada 0,60. Angka-angka tersebut didapat dari penelitian yang memanfaatkan data-silang yang tersedia. Data yang dipakai untuk keperluan ini berdasarkan pada pola pengeluaran menurut survai SUSENAS. Kelemahan penggunaan analisa ini, disebabkan kemungkinan timbulnya perkiraan yang rendah atas jumlah pengeluaran sehingga mengakibatkan perkiraan elastisitas pendapatan terlampau tinggi.
