Abstract

Berbagai studi tentang pengaruh daripada perkembangan teknologi baru di bidang pertanian padi, pada umumnya menunjuk kepada akibat negatif yang diakibatkannya terhadap pola pembagian pendapatan di masyarakat ekonomi pertanian/pedesaan Secara sederhana bisa dikatakan bahwa studi-studi itu pada umumnya mengun^pkan, betapa penerapan teknologi baru lebih mungkin dilakukan oleh petani kaya atau tuan tanah dan tidak oleh buruh tani Akibatnya: muncullah kecenderungan ke ctrah penggunaan yang lebih sedikit daripada tenaga kerja. Manfaat yang berhasil diperoleh petani kaya/tuan tanah dari penggunaan teknologi baru itu kemudian menimbulkan polarisasi yang makin mendalam dalam pola pemilikan tanah di pedesaan
