Tinjauan Triwulan Perekonomian Indonesia

Abstract

Kalangan "forecaster" memperkirakan akan terjadi resesi perekonomian di Amerika Serikat sebelum akhir tahun 1979 atau pada permulaan tahun 1980. Satu sama lain itu telah diungkapkan dalam EKI bulan Maret 1979. Begitu pula telah dikemukakan bahwa dalam hal demikian, maka pengaruhnya secara langsung akan terasa dalam ekspor komoditi-komoditi seperti energi, timah, karet, kopi, lada, tembakau, kelapa sawit, minyak eteris. Belum diperbitungkan pengaruh tidak langsung seperti misalnya melalui pengaruhnya terhadap perekonomian Jepang dan Eropa. Dalam pada itu Amerika Serikat adalah konsumen energi terbesar di dunia, sehingga pengaruh resesi khususnya terhadap permintaan dunia akan energi harus diperbitungkan.
