Strategy of ASEAN Economic Cooperation

Abstract

Oleh negara-negara anggota ASEAN kerjasama antar-ASEAN dipandang sehagai salah satu Jalan utama untuk mempercepat laju pembangunan maupun untuk memperkuat kedudukan ASEAN dalam perekonomian dunia. Dengan demikian maka usaha untuk lebih mempererat kerjasama sewilayah telah kian memuncak dan begitu pula harapan-harapan akan berhasilnya ASEAN sebagai wadah aspirasi bersama. Namun, dalam menggalakkan usaha kerjasama tersebut telah sering diltipakan adanya faktor-faktor yang mungkin berpengaruh negatif bagi masing-masing anggauta ataupun bagi ASEAN secara menyeluruh. Tulisan ini menganjurkan diusahakannya suatu strategi bersama untuk mendapatkan manfaat bersama yang sebesar-besarnya sedangkan akibatakibat negative dapat ditekan sekecil-kecilnya.
