The Outlook for OPEC Surplus

Abstract

Tulisan ini bermaksud menyoroti salah satu aspek dari masalah hutang piutang negara-negara yang sedang berkembang yaitu masalah surplus keuangan negara-negara anggauta OPEC. Selama ini. dua pendekatan yang berlainan telah dipakai untuk memproyeksikan perkembangan-perkembangan elemen-elemen dalam surplus tersebut. Pendekatan pertama pada dasarnya bersifat jangka-pendek dengan membuat analisa-analisa tahun-per-tahun atas dasar semua informasi yang ada. Pendekatan lain bermula dari perhitungan perkembangan ekwiiibrium dari harga-harga minyak yang kemudian digunakan untuk menghitung perkembangan-perkembangan variabel-variabel lain dalam analisa.
