Developing A Partnership For Expanding Industry And Trade The U.S.A. And Indonesia

Abstract

Since 1954, the United States has been Indonesia's major trading partner. It now accounts for approximately 20 percent of the combined import-export trade of Indonesia ($ 282. million or Rp. 12.7 billion in 1960), almost equivalent to the position occupied by the Netherlands immediately before World War 11. In addition, the United States imports additional Indonesian products that are exported to Singapore for further processing before sale and shipment to the United States.
