[The economic value of falling risk of death and accident in Hungary. Findings of a labour-market analysis]

Abstract

A közcélú döntéshozatal (public policy) színvonalát jelentősen javíthatná, ha a döntéshozók megbízható becslések alapján vetnék össze egyes közcélú programok költségeit és hasznait. Ehhez azonban a mainál több és hitelesebb eredménnyel kellene rendelkeznünk arra vonatkozóan, hogy az említett programok által kínált közjavak ténylegesen milyen közgazdasági értékkel bírnak az érintett közösségek számára. Számos program egyik legfontosabb "terméke", hogy csökkenti az érintett közösségben a megbetegedések, illetve az idő előtti halálozások valószínűségét, azaz végső soron emberéleteket kímél vagy ment meg. Az egyes környezetvédelmi, közegészségügyi programok, a közlekedésbiztonsági beruházások mind ezt ígérik. Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: J17, J31, H43.
