Mikor éri el a magyar gazdaság fejlettsége az Európai Unió átlagát?
[When will Hungary’s level of economic development reach the EU average?]

Abstract

A tanulmány az Európai Unió átlagos fejlettségi szintjéhez való magyar gazdasági felzárkózás időigényét és időbeli alakulását vizsgálja dinamikus makromodellek segítségével. Az első részben alkalmazott modellek alapgondolata az, hogy az EU-átlagtól való viszonylagos elmaradottságunk növekedési forrást jelent, amely így a lehetséges növekedési ütem fölé emelheti a tényleges magyar növekedési ütemet az utolérési időszakban. A második részben alkalmazott modellek a kölcsönös, pozitív és negatív, valamint oda- és visszahatást egyaránt tartalmazzák a terület közötti növekedési ütemek összevetésében. Így ezek a modellek a csatlakozás után is alkalmazhatók maradnak. A modellvizsgálatok tanúsága szerint nem lehet egyértelműen meghatározni egyetlen számot az uniós átlaghoz való felzárkózás időigényére: a feltételek függvényében ez a 15 és 45 éves időhatárok között - bár korántsem azonos valószínűséggel - bárhol lehet, sőt szélső esetekben még ezeken kívülre is eshet.
