Abstract

Jelen tanulmány az inflációs adatok hitelességének növelése érdekében a fogyasztói magatartás inflációs hatását vizsgálja. Ez a hatás azonban csak két különböző átlagformával írható le, mivel más az átlagolási tulajdonsága a jövedelemhatás miatti változásoknak, valamint más a helyettesítési hatás miatt bekövetkezett változásoknak. Ezért fel kellett osztani az egyedi ár- és volumenindexeket a két különböző hatás miatt bekövetkezett változásokra. A módszer segítségével vizsgálhatóvá vált, hogy a 2008-as pénzügyi válságra hogyan reagáltak a magyar és a német fogyasztók élelmiszer-fogyasztásukban. Mérni lehetett azt is, hogy Magyarországon a 2010-es években az alacsony jövedelmű fogyasztói csoportok mennyivel reagáltak erőteljesebben az árváltozásokra, mint a magas jövedelmű kategóriákba tartozók, és ezzel milyen mértékben sikerült kivédeniük az inflációs hatást.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: C43, E31.
