microfinance en zones rurales : quel bilan en Afrique Centrale ?

Abstract

L’objectif de cet article est de faire le bilan de la microfinance en analysant son impact sur les conditions de vie socioéconomiques des populations villageoises en Afrique centrale où les microprojets manquent toujours de micro-financements. Pour atteindre cet objectif, une régression multiple a été appliquée sur les données collectées dans Global Findex. Les analyses montrent que les effets de la microfinance dans les zones rurales en Afrique centrale sont négligeables. On constate que l’ouverture d’un compte bancaire améliore les conditions de vie des villageois tandis que le microcrédit détériore significativement l’Indice de Développement Humain de ces populations. Les bénéficiaires des services de la microfinance éprouvent toujours des difficultés à financer d’eux même leurs soins de santé, à régler leurs factures des besoins de subsistance et à constituer une épargne. Cette étude a la particularité d’avoir analysé l’impact de la microfinance sur les conditions de vie des populations villageoises en Afrique centrale.
