Existence and Uniqueness Properties of an Asymmetric Two-Mode Equilibrium Model

Abstract

The two-mode equilibrium model with flow dependent transit costs proposed by Florian is examined to determine sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium solution. Some implications of these conditions in implementations of the model are also discussed.
