Letter to the Editor—Selecting Price Quotations for an Industrial Firm's Sale of Individual Contract Projects

Abstract

Finns in contract work have data available from their bidding experience that are useful in making bids on future work for marketing their plant capacity. This note describes a procedure, based upon probability principles, for estimating the demand curve for the firm's output from its record of successes and failures in bidding for orders.
