Bölgecilik bölge-içi ticareti teşvik ediyor mu? ECO örneği

Abstract

Biz, bölgedeki ticaretin belirleyicilerini değerlendirmek için yerçekimi modelini Ekonomik İşbirliği Teşkilatı (ECO) bölgesine uyguladık. (ECO)’nun bölgedeki iç-ticarete etkisini değerlendirmek için özel dikkat sarfedilmiştir. Modelin tahmin edildiği 34 örnek ülkenin 10’u ECO Üyesi ve 24’ü 32 yıllık Ana ticaret ortaklarındandır. Bizim sonuçlarımız, çekim modeline göre ECO bölgesinde ticaret akışının iyi olduğunu göstermektedir. Biz ayrıca bölgedeki ticaretin belirleyicileri olarak , ortak bir dil ve ortak bir din olduğunu da bulduk. Önemlisi, ECO kukla değişken, pozitifdir ve bütün kullanıldığı dört örnekte , ECO üyeliğinin bölgedeki ticareti teşvik ettiğini, desteklediğini göstermektedir.
