Ülkelerarası ortak akademik çalışmalar kaliteli yayın miktarını arttırıyor mu?

Abstract

Özellikle Avrupa Birliği çerçeve programları kapsamındaki araştırmalarda ülkelerarası ortak çalışma şart koşulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada farklı ülkelerden yapılan ortak çalışmalar ile fen bilimleri ve sosyal bilimlerdeki kaliteli yayın miktarı, araştırmacı sayısı ve araştırmaya verilen önem arasındaki ilişki incelenmektedir. Çalışmada veri kaynağı olarak Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge ve United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Institute for Statistics veri tabanı kullanılmış, panel veri analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmacı sayısı yüksek olan ülkelerde yayın sayısının da fazla olduğu, ancak kaliteli yayın miktarı ile araştırmacı sayısındansa araştırmaya ayrılan pay arasında daha güçlü bir ilişki bulunduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Kaliteli yayın yapan ülkelerle ortak çalışma ile kaliteli yayın miktarı arasında olumlu, daha az kaliteli yayın yapan ülkelerle ortak çalışma ile yayın sayısı üzerinde olumlu, kaliteli yayın miktarı ile ise olumsuz bir ilişki olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.
