Avrupa Birliği’nde mali politikaların enflasyon belirsizliğine etkisinin ampirik bir analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 1996:01-2009:04 döneminde hem eski hem de yeni üyeleri içeren Avrupa Birliği’nde mali politikaların enflasyon belirsizliğine etkilerini panel veri analizi ile incelemektir. Parasal politika ve enflasyon belirsizliği ilişkisini inceleyen çok sayıda çalışma olmasına karşın mali politikaların enflasyon belirsizliğine etkileri ihmal edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada ilk modelde panel veri analizi kullanılarak global kontrol değişkenleri ile mali değişkenlerin enflasyon belirsizliğine etkileri incelenmektedir. İkinci modelde ise kanonik korelasyon analizi kullanılarak bir “mali endeks” oluşturulmaktadır. Fiyat düzeyinin mali kuramına göre mali değişkenler ve enflasyon oranı arasında pozitif bir ilişki beklenebilmektedir. Tahmin sonuçları global kontrol değişkenlerinin etkileri kontrol edildikten sonra mali endeksin enflasyon belirsizliğine etkisinin AB’ye üye tüm ülkeler ve AB’ye üye eski üyeler için pozitif iken AB’ye üye yeni üyeler için ise negatif olduğunu göstermektedir
