Türkiye’de hanehalklarının gelir, tüketim ve tasarruf davranışlarının yatay kesitlerle bir analizi

Abstract

Bu makale Türkiye’de hanehalklarının yaşam döngüleri boyunca gelir, tüketim ve tasarruf örgülerini, çeşitli gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerdeki örgülerle karşılaştırmalı olarak, karakterize eder ve sonuçları bir sürekli gelir yaşam döngüsü teorisi tabanında değerlendirir. Yaşam döngüsü profillerini tüm nüfus için açıklamakla beraber, farklı özelliklerdeki hanehalklarının – özellikle gelir grupları ve eğitim seviyesine göre – tüketim ve tasarruf davranışlarının nasıl değiştiğini de analiz eder. Gelir eşitsizliğinin yüksek olduğu Türkiye’de gelir gruplarına göre tasarruf ve tüketim davranışını anlamak özellikle önemlidir. Cari gelir kalıcı olmayan gelir şoklarından etkileneceği için, sürekli gelir ile tüketim ve tasarruf arasındaki ilişkiyi görebilmek için bu çalışma eğitim seviyesini bir araç olarak kullanır. Ayrıca, bu çalışmada ortaya konan yaş profilleri bize değişen demografik koşullara göre gelecekteki tasarrufun nasıl değişebileceği konusunda bilgi vermektedir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümümde ise yaşa göre gelir, tasarruf ve tüketim profillerinin 2002’den 2006’a kadar nasıl bir seyir izlediği karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edilmektedir.
