Abstract

Verimlilikteki artış uzun dönemde ekonomik büyümenin temel kaynaklarından biridir. Ülkeler verimlilikte artış sağlamak için çeşitli politikalar uygulamaktadır. Bu makalenin amacı Türk telekomünikasyon sektöründe teknik etkinlikte iyileşme sağlayarak verimlilikte artış sağlanıp sağlanamayacağı sorusuna yanıt vermektedir. Bununla birlikte, çalışmanın kapsamı sabit telefon hizmetleri ve yerleşik işletmecinin teknik etkinliği ile sınırlıdır. Türkiye dâhil altı ülkenin sabit telefon hizmetleri sektöründeki teknik etkinlikleri Çok Aşamalı Veri Zarflama Analizi ile incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, Türk Telekom’un teknik etkinliğini artırarak verimliliğini artırmasının mümkün olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
