Teskstil ve Gıda Sektöründe etkinlik ölçümü: VZA-malmquist TFP endeksi uygulaması

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Veri Zarflama Analizi (VZA) ve Malmquist Toplam Faktör Verimliliği (TFP) Endeksi yaklaşımlarını kullanarak 2000-2002 döneminde İMKB Ulusal Pazarda yer alan dokuma, giyim eşyası ve deri 1 ve gıda, içki ve tütün firmalarının etkinliklerini ölçmek ve değerlendirmektir. Bu amaçla öncelikle 2002 yılı verileri dikkate alınarak tekstil ve gıda firmalarının göreli etkinliği ölçülmüştür. İkinci olarak, firmaların etkin sınırından uzaklaşmalarına neden olan faktörler duyarlılık analizi ile araştırılmıştır. Son olarak Malmquist TFP endeksi kullanılarak 2000-2002 döneminde firmaların verimlilik ve etkinlik bileşenlerindeki değişmeler incelenmiştir. Analizler sonucunda 2002 yılı itibariyle gıda firmalarının etkinliğindeki azalmanın tekstil firmalarına oranla daha az olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca, 2000-2002 döneminde tekstil ve gıda firmalarının verimliliğinin azalışın en önemli nedeninin, teknik değişmede ortaya çıkan olumsuzluklar olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
