Abstract

Günümüzde çoğu ekonomik faaliyette kullanılan fosil yakıtlara dayalı enerji sistemleri, fosil yakıtların tükenme sürecine girmesi, yarattıkları çevre sorunları ve dışa bağımlılıklar nedeniyle gittikçe pahalılaşmaktadırlar. Bunu öngören birçok ülke, fosil yakıtların yerini alabilecek yeni enerji kaynakları arayışına girmiştir. Hem yakıt, hem de enerji taşıyıcısı olarak kullanılabilen hidrojen, yapısal özellikleri nedeniyle verimli, ekonomik ve güvenli bir seçenektir. Fosil yakıtların azalma süreci ile birlikte hidrojen ekonomisine geçişin de başladığı kabul edilmektedir. Hidrojen ekonomisi, temiz ve yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına dayalı hidrojen enerji sistemleri kurularak iç ve dış maliyetlerin minimize edilmesini hedeflemektedir. Hidrojen ekonomisine geçişte, devlet desteği; KOBİ’lerle işbirliği; merkezi-merkezi olmayan üretim düzeylerinin doğru planlanması; mevcut enerji sistemleri ile uyumlaştırma; altyapı ve taşıma seçeneklerinin, bilgi teknolojilerinin geliştirilmesi ve paylaşımı; enerji verimliliği ve tasarrufu boyutlarının dikkate alınması; temiz teknolojiler için pazarlar oluşturulması kritik önem taşımaktadır. Bu konularda gereken kararları zamanında alarak hidrojen yol haritalarını hazırlayan ve uygulayan ülkeler, geleceğin dünya ekonomisini yönlendirebilecek konuma geleceklerdir.
